Job Title: Tutor / Learning Support Assistant (German or Russian Speaking)

About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and patient Tutor / Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support a Year 8 student following the British Curriculum (Key Stage 3 – Elevate Programme).
This role involves providing 1:1 support during online schooling at home, ensuring the student remains engaged, organised, and able to access the curriculum effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 academic and pastoral support during online lessons
Assist the student in understanding lesson content across subjects
Support with task completion, organisation, and time management
Reinforce learning through additional explanations and structured support
Adapt learning strategies to meet the student’s individual needs
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
Liaise with parents (and teachers where required) to monitor progress
Requirements
Fluency in German or Russian (essential)
Previous experience as a Tutor, Teaching Assistant, or Learning Support Assistant
Familiarity with the British Curriculum (KS3)
Strong behaviour management and engagement skills
Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach to learning
Ability to work independently in a home environment
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Education or a related field
Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Experience supporting students with additional learning needs (SEN)
Background in online or home-based tutoring
