Who we are

rTriibe operates in the United Arab Emirates serving international schools and educators across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We process personal data of UAE residents in line with applicable UAE data protection law, including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data ("PDPL"), and UK GDPR where the UK entity is the controller.

If you register as a candidate

• Identification documents (passport, Emirates ID, valid UAE visa)
• MOFA-attested educational documents and MOE Equivalency where applicable
• Police clearance certificates and safer-recruitment checks
• References, qualifications, and work history (your CV)
• Contact details and bank details (UAE) for payroll
• Booking and shift history

If your school books staff through us

• School contact details
• Booking history and preferences
• Billing and invoice information

Why we use your data

We use the personal data we collect to:

• Reply to your enquiry and provide the service you've asked for
• Match candidates to schools and process bookings
• Pay candidates and invoice schools
• Meet our legal and safeguarding obligations (visa & Emirates ID verification, MOE Equivalency, KHDA / ADEK frameworks, payroll)
• Improve the rTriibe platform and the matching engine that powers it

We do not add your details to any marketing list without your explicit opt-in.

How we share your data

We share data only with parties who need it to provide our service: schools when matching candidates to bookings; our payroll provider for candidates' wages; our cloud and infrastructure providers; and competent UAE authorities or regulators (including KHDA, ADEK, and the Ministry of Education) where legally required. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever.

How long we keep it

We retain candidate records for the duration of your registration with rTriibe and for the period required by applicable UAE law afterwards — typically up to two years for general labour records, with longer retention for visa-related and other regulated documents. School and enquiry data is retained for as long as we have a working relationship plus any period required by applicable law. You can request earlier deletion at any time, subject to our legal retention obligations.

Note: specific retention periods are subject to legal review and confirmation.

Your rights

Under UAE PDPL (and UK GDPR where applicable) you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
• Object to or restrict our processing of your data
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis
• Lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office or other competent authority if you believe we have mishandled your data

Cookies

This website uses essential cookies only — those required for the site to function and for basic security. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this marketing site. The rTriibe app (app.rtriibe.com) has its own cookie usage covered by separate notices in-app.

Security

We protect your personal data using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access to candidate and school records inside rTriibe is restricted to staff who need it to do their job, and all access is logged.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated to registered candidates and school contacts by email.
